Meridith has been a professional massage therapist for over 11 years and says she feels lucky to have such an amazing job!
Meridith began her studies in Theater at UNC-Greensboro and has always had an interest in massage therapy. After receiving trigger point therapy for an injury of her own, she then knew massage was her calling.
After graduating from Medical Arts Massage School in 2003, she discovered just how she much enjoyed the science of it and immediately became Certified in St. John Neuromuscular Massage Therapy in 2006. Following the birth of her son in 2012, she became officially Certified in PreNatal and Infant Massage.
Meridith excels at postural assessment, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) release and treatment of neck and hip dysfunctions via pelvic stabilization. After years of training the staff members at Hands on Health Medical Massage Therapy in Raleigh, North Carolina, she began teaching Continuing Education through Integrative Bodywork Seminars. As much as she enjoys problem solving and deeper bodywork she also loves prenatal and infant massage, cranial-sacral work, and relaxation. Meridith has aspirations to one day finish her Pilates teacher training, and with her fondness of yoga, combine those into her bodywork methodologies and practices.
With her husband’s recent job relocation, they found themselves packing up and moving from their home in Raleigh, North Carolina to start a new adventure in Florida with their two year old son.
“I am passionate about helping others, and see massage therapy as a way to improve quality of ones life, whether it is pain relief from chronic conditions or stress relief. I am always striving to continue understanding what may be the most appropriate care for each individual client. I have the unique opportunity to enjoy and see the overwhelming rewards from bodywork.”
